Refund policy

Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy

At Singing Bowl Shop, our goal is your complete satisfaction. Please review this policy carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Order Cancellation & Change of Mind

  • Order cancellations are only accepted if the order has not been fulfilled or dispatched from our facility.
  • If a cancellation is approved, any refund issued will be less non-refundable processing fees charged by the merchant service provider.
  • Once an order has been fulfilled or dispatched, it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded due to a change of mind.
  • For change-of-mind cancellations on orders valued at USD $500 and above, a 10% restocking fee will apply, provided the order has not yet been dispatched.
  • The remaining balance, after applicable deductions, will be refunded via the original payment method.
  • Shipping Cost will not be refunded for the change of mind cancellation.

Cancellation requests made after dispatch will not be accepted and will be governed by the Returns and Customs Policy below.

2. Returns Eligibility (Online Orders Only)

  • Items must be returned in original condition, exactly as shipped.
  • Returned items must show no signs of use, damage, or alteration.
  • You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery with a valid reason to request a return.
  • Items must be returned promptly once the return request is approved.
  • The customer is financially responsible for all return shipping, handling, and insurance costs.

We strongly recommend secure packaging and shipping insurance for all returns.

Items returned that do not meet the conditions above are not eligible for a refund or store credit.

3. In-Store & Physical Purchase Policy

Products purchased directly from our store, home gallery, exhibitions, events, or physical locations are considered final sales.

  • Returns or exchanges are not accepted for in-store or physical purchases.
  • Customers are given the opportunity to personally inspect and select items before purchase.
  • Due to the handcrafted and delicate nature of our products, returns cannot be accepted once the item leaves our care.

4. Customs Duties, Taxes & Refused Shipments

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or clearance fees determined by the destination country.

  • All customs duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
  • These charges are not included in product or shipping prices unless stated otherwise.
  • Singing Bowl Shop has no control over customs regulations, delays, or imposed fees.

Refusal to Pay Customs Charges

  • No refunds will be issued for orders refused due to unpaid customs charges.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If the shipment is returned, return shipping and handling costs will be deducted from any eligible refund.
  • If costs exceed the item value, no refund will be issued.
  • If the shipment is abandoned, seized, or destroyed by customs, the order is considered completed and non-refundable.

5. Refund Method & Processing Time

  • Please contact us at info@singingbowlshop.com.au before returning any goods.
  • All returns must be approved in advance.
  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 working days after inspection.
  • Faulty or damaged items will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

6. Acceptance of Policy

By placing an order with Singing Bowl Shop, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy.

Products purchased directly from our store, home gallery, shop, events, or exhibitions are considered final sales and are not eligible for returns or exchanges. As customers have the opportunity to personally inspect and select their items before purchase, we kindly encourage careful examination to ensure satisfaction. Due to the delicate and often handcrafted nature of our products, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once a purchase is completed, as handling and external conditions may affect their condition after leaving our care.
